Create Every Day - Pascal Campion

Sarah M in 2nd year is attempting to post on her student blog as much as possible. Sketches, observations, comments, ruff animation tests. I'd like to think her blog posts, and any other animator attempting to improve by getting their work up, would be peppered with comments and constructive critiques from our animation course community.

I was watching this clip (below) and thought, "Gee, it would be great if all my students watched and listened to this inspirational artist."

Gold, gold , gold! Pascal Campion is high on life. Love his observation about small things.I just realized how strong his observation and staging are just watching that great video. His animation is absolutely wonderful too. Thanks for the inspiration! And Sarah M is inspiring too! When you see people in class who are really focusing it fires you up too.

Whoa. I love his observation and realization in how great art communicates, and a lot (for me, all) of the time that is done through an emotional connection. You see something, and it makes you actually feel something.

Brilliant discovery here, frank. It's a gem. And cheers for the mention, and your continual follow up on my posts. It's a joy to read your comments.

Hey Frank, This is a good video! I'm not a big fan of his style for his work...just as a personal preference toward that style, however I think that the video was very good and was something very inspiring and beneficial for the students to watch, you find some awesome video's(probably cause their on Vimeo and not pop music video's edited to stupid cartoons that are on Youtube) and I think that the guy is a true artist which is something very revitalising and good to see a animator or artist who actually understands art and the point to being creative and using our superhero abilities for good rather then for stupid attention self promotion or visual chatter. I think he had some very good advice for artist and animators and I think there were some very arguable and debatable philosophies that were raised through the self documentary, I thought it was funny that even though I didn't like the style much that there was still work I actually liked a lot. I think this would be good for Terry's exercise he gave us last semester and was better and I think the video outdone our lines for why we like animation by far, ha ha, and also I think that it's good for Jane's self documentary style presentation thing. I would also love to comment and look at the 2nd years work however I can never find their work and I can't follow or add them as a friend from their blog I think it's cause their too good and professional. I think it's all very good inspiring and creative stuff! :)
