Great find Frank. I wish I could have seen that exhibition, it looks fantastic. I love listening to Glen Keane :)

I have to admit though, I do not like that cheesy filter they put on at the end.

I think the exhibition is still on. We could pop down at Easter.

This was good to see Frank, thanks! It is inspiring for our design of Characters this week! I believe the Exhibit is still on for a while I think, also Johnny has been to this exhibition this is the Disney Exhibition he talked to everyone about and he bought the books in for everyone to look at that had most of this concept art in and yelled it out however most people were too busy playing on youtube and talking about their philosophies to notice I think, ha! However it sounds good to go see it sometime, also I noticed that they commented the Disney artist's would go to Art Exhibitions and look at the famous artist's for ideas and inspiration for their designs, lighting and characters etc, so perhaps while we are waiting and for those that haven't got much money as we're students, ha ha we could go to the art exhibitions for the 21st Century Art at GOMA the next week? I love ABC they have a lot of good Art info and ABC IView tends to play a lot from this show, so I'd suggest to keep tuned to this instead of youtube or commercial television and I enjoyed watching the artist's sketch the characters and show the work especially from the collaboration with Salvador Dali and Disney, I wasn't aware of this so I'll be youtube ing that myslef I believe this was cool and I'm unsure that the exhibit will be as good given that it will only have the sketches, ha ha...just being sarcastic and stupid! Anyway this was good thanks, also I like the silly ending, it was better than their others they have and it has to be noted ABC hasn't got money and for Tim as for why can't anyone or any art exhibition go to Brisbane, I had asked this and I had been asking myself this when I went to Tropfest and Suncorp Piazza today, and to be honest while trying to watch these films on the small poorly pixel screen with audio that was stuffing up and crappy half of the films and with such poor venues, funding and consitant lack of value for the Film, Television and any Arts industries in Brisbane, I get it.:)

Thanks Zade.

Johnny has been to that ACMI exhibition and the books he brought in were full of great images.

I have the book from the Pixar exhibition in 2009. They make a great reference.

AS for getting things to Brisbane, maybe we should ask? If ACMI bring them to Australia maybe we could share them with one of the South Bank Galleries as well as a few of the lecturers. It's a good idea.

Hey Frank, That's cool. I think that stuff is very good also and that's awesome that you have the Pixar Book, I think I saw it last year, and went to the Exhibition, that would have been awesome to go to that exhibition! I would love to see some more uncommon animation artwork sometime also! I love a lot of the old less known animations, and the international animations and artwork however you don't get to see much in Australia which is unfortunate given that a gallery and understanding of other artworks would be useful for artist and animation students. I agree completely it would be good for Disney Exhibitions and any of the other good exhibitions to go to the Brisbane Museums and that, however what do you mean by just ask, ha ha? Who should WE ask? I agree with this comment more then my negative comments, and I was thinking a lot about this issue of such lil Art and Animation exhibitions and careers in Brisbane and I have been contemplating why it's like this and how to improve the industry, and I come to the conclusion that mostly it is up to the Artist's and the Public to show demand and a economic profit for it to go to Brisbane etc, so I guess it is very much up to us as students and also as professional animators etc. We just gotta find who to contact and how to gain support from the industry etc. Thanks! :)
